About MonoPan®

MonoPan® is a sandwich panel made of a polypropylene honeycomb with a face sheet made of polypropylene with fibreglass reinforcement on both sides. An additional polypropylene layer on the outside gives a smooth surface.

The face sheet is fusion-bonded with the core being a world first for this remarkable new product.

The unique design of MonoPan® creates an impact resistant, load-sharing face sheet that promotes excellent strength and rigidity.

  • Waterproof and Impermeable - A special property of MonoPan®. The material is impervious and is not hygroscopic when the surface is damaged. MonoPan® water absorption rates are 1.5% and panels are resilient to salt water.
  • Strength - MonoPan® is impact resilient and extremely resistant to mechanical stressing and damage. MonoPan® is very easy to repair if violently damaged and there is no hidden consequential damage.
  • Resistance to Climatic Conditions - MonoPan® is a thermoplastic. Even so it can be put into permanent service in a temperature range of -40° to +80° Celsius.
  • Weather Resistant - The face sheets guarantee excellent UV protection according to manufacturer's tests in a desert area of Arizona. The tests showed no important signs of aging compared to similar plastic materials, which have a tendency to display surface cracks at intensive UV irradiation.
  • Chemical Resistance - MonoPan® offers high resistance against oils, fats, and the most commonly used agents.

When you decide on using MonoPan® for your next project you are actively contributing to the preservation of the environment.

  • Ecological - Vehicles that are significantly lighter consume much less fuel and produce much less noxious emissions.
  • Recyclable - MonoPan® is 100% recyclable, MonoPan® is a compound of polypropylene and glass fibres without any other additives, such as adhesive for example.

Greater Payload with Vehicles
You can improve your payload ratio at will with the MonoPan® body assembly. You can transport up to 70% more payload (approximately 600kg in comparison with a 3.5 ton vehicle with a body assembly made of plywood). This means that you can carry almost 1500kg of freight with a 3.5 ton truck made of MonoPan®. Whereas you would need a 7.5 ton truck of conventional construction for the same payload.
